Any prisoner in the UK & Republic of Ireland who has more than 2 months in prison still left to serve.
We provide (mostly second-hand) books at no charge. Some dictionaries and readers are brand new. We DO NOT supply textbooks for OU, City & Guilds, etc. We may have some GCSE textbooks but these are usually from an older curriculum.
Apart from Polish/English we can't usually help with other foreign language dictionaries – you need Haven Distribution for that.
Email books@borderlinebooks.org or write to the postal address below. Please send a simple letter listing the books or genres you require.
We do not have lists of books in stock as this changes from day to day. We will try to find books that are close to your requests, if not the exact books.
We may contact you by email via ‘emailaprisoner’ if we have questions about your request.
If we have multiple requests from the same prison at the same time we may group several requests into one package and send via the library, reception, or a specific officer according to what works in each location.
DO NOT FORGET to put your location on the letter, as well as your name and number. We can’t send you books if we don’t know your address!
