Age UK
Age UK provide advice and information for older people and their families and lloved ones via their Age UK Advice Line, free publications and online through their website.
You can call the Age UK Advice Line to ask questions and get advice on your situation, to find out whether there is a local Age UK near you, and to order free copies of their information guides and factsheets.
"The advisers are not only very professional but compassionate and full of empathy" says Rasila from London.
The guides and factsheets cover topics from health and housing to benefits and money, legal and social care services. Many of these may be useful to older people in prison or who have recently left prison. You can find them all online at: www.ageuk.org.uk/services/information-advice/guides-and-factsheets
Age UK can help older people claim the benefits they are entitled to and have helped many people in this way. See Age UK's Benefit Calculator at www.ageuk.org.uk/information-advice/money-legal/benefits-entitlements/benefits-calculator/
Anyone can contact Age UK via the Advice Line or website. This includes anyone who may wish to ring on behalf of an older person.
