Those wanting to study an Open University module while in prison but unable to access a student loan.
What Can Be Funded
Grants (you don't have to pay us back) for the cost of one Open University module.
All award-holders are given one-to-one mentoring by a trained mentor. With those in prison, permission must be granted for a mentor to visit.
What Can Not Be Funded
Anything other than higher education degrees.

Details of how to apply are on the trust's website, or forms can be obtained form the prison education department, the distance learning co-ordinator or from our partners in the scheme, the Prisoners Education Trust.
Key Dates
Two rounds, with applications in by end of December for Open University courses starting in February, and by start of September for Open University courses starting in October. (See our website for exact dates)
