Planning for the future - Getting into employment
Boots

Boots is an equal opportunities employer and we employ nearly 60,000 Team Members across our network of stores as well as in our distribution and logistics network and our support office in Nottingham.

In 2013, Boots became one of the first employers to join the BITC Ban the Box Campaign – by removing the convictions ‘tick box’ from our application forms, all candidates have a fair and equal chance to achieve an opportunity for an interview and are assessed on their skills and ability. When a conviction is disclosed this is then risk assessed against the role for which they have applied.

On top of our support for Ban the Box, we have worked in partnership with HMP Sudbury and AM2PM recruitment agency since 2014. Together we support serving prisoners with release on temporary licence with employment opportunities in one of our local warehouses. These are paid opportunities which enable individuals to utilise their existing skills or gain new skills to help sustain employment beyond their prison sentence.

If you are currently serving your sentence at HMP Sudbury and would like to find out more about our employment opportunities, please contact the resettlement team.
